Brisbane is known for the whole city getting involved in New Year’s Eve celebrations. These celebrations engulf places like South Bank, Mt Coot-tha, Eagle Street Pier, Portside, Fortitude Valley and many pubs and clubs.

If you want to try a New Year’s Eve celebration outside of Brisbane, you could head for Bribie Island where the fireworks explode into the air almost directly above you, or for something entirely alternative – The Woodford Folk Festival.
